Twenty-five custom trophies for a local running club: designed around their event, made in a real copper material and hand-finished to a brushed-metal look.
The result
The organisers of a local UK running club wanted custom awards for their annual championships. Off-the-shelf plastic trophies felt cheap and impersonal, while custom metal casting was far too expensive for their budget.
The brief was to design a trophy plaque that felt substantial and premium, incorporated their club runner silhouette, and stayed within their budget of £15 per trophy.
The approach
We designed a clean hexagonal plaque with a raised runner silhouette and recessed winner categories. To give each plaque real metal weight and shine, we made them in a copper-filled material — about 30% genuine copper.
After printing all 25 pieces, each trophy was hand-finished: sanded smooth through finer and finer grades, then buffed with metal polish. That brought the copper up to an authentic, brushed-antique bronze.
